Tiziano Olivetti: Ciao a tutti, allego alcune immagini di stasera, in condizioni di seeing e trasparenza scarsi.

Vincenzo della Vecchia: Buongiorno a tutti,

allego Venere di ieri sera, in ottime condizioni di seeing. La qualità dei dati mi ha indotto a forzare un po’ la mano in elaborazione, facendo anche un modesto uso della deconvoluzione con PSF teorica. La struttura equatoriale presenta delle leggere differenze tra le due riprese, che potrebbe essere un artefatto o (spero) un dettaglio reale, effetto del seeing migliore in quel momento.

La fase è ora per me un po’ sotto il 50%, diciamo 49%.

Venus captured today in good seeing conditions, showing the clouds with a bunch of details.
The observed phase is now a tad under the 50%, while the theoretical dichotomy is foreseen for June 4.
Processing in the fiirst couple of images was careful in order to preserve the planetary edge, which has not been saturated. The overprocessed images show slight differences in the dark equatorial structure, which might be real.
